IICLA founded in Los Angeles, USA with the purpose to encourage, preserve and promote the teaching and understanding of the rich cultural heritage of Indian art and culture as an integral part of the culture of the USA. Its objectives are to actively participate in the promotion and pursuit of programs pertaining to Indian culture and develop strong connections between similar artistic and enriching organizations, nationally and internationally.
Los Angeles, being a culturally vibrant city is an inspiring platform for IICLA and appreciate the variety of cultural events including art exhibitions, dance, musical performances, seminars, and workshops on various genres.

Considered the world's oldest, Indian culture, is the culture that is a blend of cultures from different regions. The assorted regions of India each have their own distinct culture of which some of the aspects are language, food, religion, and various forms of art. Religion plays a significant role in Indian culture and India is the birthplace of 4 major religions: Hinduism, Buddhism, Sikhism, and Jainism. The views of each religion have intermixed the colorful culture of India. One can say that Indian culture is different because it is multi-cultural and multi-religious. India's culture is unique also because of the spirituality behind it. The spiritual India was furthered by the various arts and religions. This can be reversed too - various arts and religions were furthered by spirituality. There is no boundary of Indian culture. The amalgamation of India's various regions has also impacted the whole world.
